Our protein powder range is made using Scandinavian bone broth and is Halal certified - because it has no contact with Pork.
We work with the Halal Certification Organisation (HCO), a recognised and reputable certification body.
In Scandinavia and Switzerland, animals must be stunned before slaughter by law (since 1937), including for halal meat.
Stunning renders the animal unconscious prior to slaughter and is widely recognised as a more humane process.
Halal practices can vary by country due to local laws. In some regions, religious slaughter without pre-stunning is permitted (unbelievably the UK permits this) however, this is not something we agree with or source from.
Animal welfare, provenance, and transparency are central to our sourcing decisions, alongside grass-fed and regenerative farming practices.
Currently Parliament are debating this and if they should follow the likes of Scandinavia, our eyes are all over this because we would love to use UK beef, however until then we get the best from Scandinavia & Switzerland
Our Halal Collagen is fully certified with the Halal Certification Organisation. This includes every part of the process - the collagen, the manufacturer, the packaging facility and the packaging.
